THE LAB was built and designed specifically around the player development model. Jake’s personal experience as a D1 coach and Hitting Consultant with the Milwaukee Brewers affords him unique insights into what makes players great. It isn’t just about looking good off a tee or in batting practice, rather how players react in stressful situations. We will train all our players HOW TO PERFORM between the white lines by putting them in competitive, game-like situations through the course of our development plan. Therefore, this model takes commitment and dedication from the player and will be treated as such. Think of THE LAB as your own personal D1 program, here to make you the best player you can be.
All machines will be programmed for age appropriate sessions (speed, release point and break of off-speed pitches).
Players will have multiple class options to choose from each week.
Classes are 90 minutes and have a maximum of only 12 players in the entire training area. This means that each player has their own station so there is no waiting or wasted time.

With your monthly training membership, you are provided 4 (90 MINUTE) sessions per month. Once your membership is active, you can go into the calendar and book any 4 sessions that are available for your age group. For example, each week there may be 2 options for players in middle school to book, you can choose to attend 1 or both sessions. Think of it as a 4 punch pass each month where you can go in and book 4 different classes based on which days work best for you. At the end of 30 days (or after you attend your 4 classes, whichever comes first), your membership will be auto-renewed and 4 more classes will be available to you.
There will be a maximum of 12 players per class (6 – 2 person stations) so we will get TONs of reps. We do not oversell the memberships assuring you a spot in your age appropriate training time. Most classes consist of 6-8 players, but on busy weeks there can be up to 12.
Players will be grouped by age and sport. For example, our 3 baseball specific groups are 8-11 year olds, 12-14 year olds and 15-18 year olds. Softball is 8-12 year olds and 13-18 year olds.
The one-time registration fee includes administration fees such as credit card fees, app fees and liability insurance.
No, you can cancel your membership at anytime.
Yes, but you won’t be automatically added back in if there is a waitlist.
The beauty of our training model is the flexibility it allows you to train at The Lab. Depending on your age group, you will have up to 3 options per week to choose for your 90 MINUTE training slot.
You will train at The Lab 90 MINUTES per week. Of course, we encourage players to continue drills, or what we call ‘Homework’, on their own time as well.
Cage 1 with Hittrax and swing video review. Cage 2, personal drill work with instructor mixed in with breaking ball machine. Cage 3, individual lesson time with instructor (front toss and overhand bp). Cage 4, more instructor time with machine work, working opposite field and pull side in addition to creating plans at the plate. Other stations include weighted ball tee work, top-hand and bottom-hand work and eye-hand coordination training.
You can use your booking credit to make up any class that month. Meaning, if you have a conflict, you can make-up that class by doubling up another week that same month.
Our unique player development model is run via our monthly memberships. By becoming one of our members (26-32 max per age group) you are essentially becoming a part of our family (or D1 Program). Personal relationships will be built, friendships will be made, and training will be maximized. Each membership group becomes their own unique team that trains and competes together on a weekly basis.
Yes, we offer individual training sessions with our instructors (weekends only).
